Day 172

Josh and I went over late last night.  I really wanted to see the kitchen lights that he recently put up.  They look fantastic.  The ceiling needs more work.  I thought about fixing it then, but I needed a different project to work on.

Josh also put up the bathroom lights. His dad has been working on the shower plumbing, so we finally have most of that wall sealed up to get ready for the vanity.
We have a can of dark purple eggshell paint and a can of high gloss white.  We are trying to find a shade that we like for the bathroom.  With all the white wainscoting, I think it will still look nice even if it's dark.  At our last house, we moved to a 2 bath house 2 months before we moved to Ohio so I went out and bought a whole bathroom set.  It was purple with hints of bright green.  It was a flowery design.  So I'm basically planning  this bathroom around that because it has barely been used and I can't see going out to buy new things that match and trying to sell it or something.

I was about to start painting our closet when Josh gave me the go-ahead to paint the hallway.  It will be the same color as the living room.  The color is called, "Soothing Green Tea."  And I'm actually pleased with how it looks!  The last couple rooms I have been a little disappointed with but this one isn't too dark! It was difficult to get an accurate representation of the color in the picture.

While I was doing that, Josh was installing a light switch for the front closet.  He ran some wire and put the light up a few days ago, then he realized there was no switch.

My mom is still painting doors and my dad is still working on the trim in the bedrooms.  Josh's dad has been over the last few days and he did a lot of cement patching downstairs.  It's almost finished.  Probably just one more day of work.  Josh wants the kitchen ceiling fixed before the tile goes down, but he can begin in the dining room any time.  He has also been painting the hand rail and banister.  I hope we can keep this pace, because I feel like a lot has gotten done in the last few weeks.
