Day 164

I feel like I got a lot done last night.  Once I open a can of glossy white paint, I can just go crazy and paint everything in sight.  I did take a break from the spindles though.  They still should be finished before the tile goes down.  I like doing a lot of little projects rather than one that takes a long time.

So I painted the kitchen ceiling with oil-based paint.  I got it done pretty quickly then Josh pulled me outside before I went loopy again.  Hopefully we are done with that and can put up the light fixtures and paint the walls.  I painted a wall in the pantry with the left over paint.

I decided to paint the "attic" door since it was sticking out like a sore thumb.  Definitely needs more coats.

So since I was on a role, I painted the ceilings in Oliver's closet and ours.  It's amazing how gross they look once you start putting a fresh coat on it and see the difference.  But I always love how clean it looks once it's finished.

No pictures of Josh, but last night his dad and dad's friend (Mike) came over to fix the lawn mower.  Once they got it working, Mike jumped on and started mowing our over-grown grass.  Josh and his dad went onto the roof to check out a leak.  Greaaaat. Hopefully it's fixed.  We will find out after the next rain.  Then they went in the basement to look at electrical for our a/c.  Don't know what that's about really.

Tonight my mom wants to go over and work on her door project.  Josh will probably keep going on cementing the downstairs.  After a few days have passed and the stains on the kitchen ceiling aren't coming back, I can paint the walls blue!
