Day 196

This week has been pretty slow.  My birthday was on Tuesday, Josh's was on Thursday and we left Saturday afternoon for an overnight trip to Columbus, so not too many days have been spent at the house.  Josh is still cutting and laying tile. 

While we were in Columbus, Josh's dad came over and hung our upper kitchen cabinets!

 

We are just going to paint them while they're hung.  Josh said the kitchen ceiling still looks patchy so all I can figure out is that someone else has to do it because I've done it 3 or 4 times and it must be my technique or something.  You can see in one of the pictures where the blue paint didn't cover all the way on the wall by a cabinet, so I'll still have to paint that.  I haven't done the edges on the ceiling yet either but luckily the cabinets aren't around the entire kitchen.  It's just something I better do soon or else it won't get done.

 

I love how the herringbone pattern on the floor looks.

 

Also, here is Oliver's closet.  It has since been painted white to match the trim.  Just need to put on the knobs.

 

 

I'm sure this week will be spent getting the rest of the tile done.  We are getting close to being able to install the appliances. :)
